About Me

Liverpool Psychotherapist and Counsellor Alun Parry

Psychotherapist and Counsellor Alun Parry is the Director of The Liverpool Psychotherapy Practice

I’m Al. My Myers Briggs Personality Type is ENFP.

Before I was a therapist I was a professional musician, songwriter, recording artist and music promoter.

I have a long history in the creative and performing arts.

Before that, I was a lecturer at the University of Liverpool and coached social entrepreneurs as a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs.

I’ve always loved working with people and have a passion for making change. I’ve had my own struggles with traumatic events too so it was a natural step to train as a therapist myself.

I am a specialist in the effects of trauma and how to remove it. I train and coach fellow therapists on how to remove the effects of trauma. I have given talks on the topic to hundreds of therapists. My book ‘How To Remove Trauma Response’ is being published this year. I am the presenter of the podcast A Slice Of Therapy.

I have provided services such as psychotherapy, counselling and psychological training to organisations such as the UK Home Office, Lush Cosmetics, Riverside Housing Association and Liverpool John Moores University.

I am the Director of The Liverpool Psychotherapy Practice. I am a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor. Although living in Liverpool, I work online and my clients live all over the UK and beyond.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
